The General Assembly of the Swiss ICT company ARVE (Dragonback Innovation AG) has elected Ian Millar to the Board of Directors. Ian Millar is Senior Lecturer Hospitality Technology and manager of the Institute of Business Creativity (IBC) at the École Hôteliére de Lausanne (EHL).

Ian Millar is a Senior Lecturer of Hospitality Technology at EHL working on the Student Business Projects and delivering hospitality technology courses. His double expertise in the areas of hospitality and information technology (IT) sets him at the forefront of new developments in the international hospitality industry. He is a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) and a frequent presenter at international IT conferences as well as the author of numerous hospitality technology articles. Millar currently serves as an advisor to various hospitality technology companies and was nominated as the 2020 recipient of the prestigious HFTP Paragon award which rewards individuals for outstanding service in the hospitality industry. He is also a mentor for the Metro Accelerator program, advising various hospitality technology startup companies. Currently, Millar is the chair of the HITEC Amsterdam advisory council, organizing Europe’s largest hospitality technology conference.

Ian Millar complements the Board of Directors with his profound knowledge in hospitality technologies and extensive international hospitality experience. Together with his large network in leading hospitality associations and his work at EHL with former students, he will play a critical role as we continue to advance our growth strategy while also navigating the market dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic. The combination of Millar’s deep appreciation for the hotel industry and hotel technology know-how will enable ARVE to focus on delivering innovative solutions to our hotel customers, creating real business value for our partners and support them in providing safe and reassuring environments for hotel guests.

The Hospitality Booster is very pleased that Ian Millar has taken on this strategically relevant role at ARVE. As part of the EHL mandated Student Business Project, Millar has been heavily involved in the launch phase of Hospitality Booster. He coached a group of six students in shaping the initial concepts and ideas for our innovation ecosystem. He is an important cornerstone in the collaboration between ARVE, Hospitality Booster and EHL.
