The Valais with all its facets, from the high mountain peaks to the wide valley, offers countless opportunities for bike lovers, whether beginner or professional! A unique biker’s paradise with well-signposted routes, impressive routes through the magnificent mountain world or along alpine passes provide boundless fun. Thereby, from the bloody newcomer to the professional athlete, from the mountain biker to the downhill rider, everyone gets their money’s worth. With additional bike parks, flow trails or pump tracks, the perfectly covered public transport network as well as over 100 mountain railroads, no wishes remain unfulfilled!
In the middle of this bike canton, at the foot of the Simplon Pass in the city of Brig, the idea of a “Bike Club House” for the bike guests & local population is becoming more and more concrete. In a former store, in the center of Brig, together with a network of regional & national partners, a meeting & experience world is to be created. An open-house, inspired by arts & crafts, nature, and the urge to move, will allow guests to completely immerse themselves in the local art & bike scene. As an authentic ecosystem, the “Bike Club House” will reflect the energy of the local scene through art, create shared feel-good spaces, disrupt conventions, challenge expectations, and tell new stories – all under one roof.
In doing so, the former store will be divided into the following spaces, which will provide guests with a comprehensive experience, and the local community with a new offering:
- Concept Store as a lounge for bike enthusiastic locals & guests.
- Bike workshop for quick repair and maintenance during bike vacations
- Hotel rooms in cooperation with local & national partners
- Lounge as bike market place
- International cuisine – rich snacks with take-away possibilities
- Flow Trail through the hotel, as well as a
multimedia room for consultation
In other words, an all-round feel-good paradise for all bikers in the canton of Valais, to drop in, stay in and spend the night!
