The trend towards electromobility in private transport is exceeding all expectations. Already in 2019, 250% more electric vehicles were registered than in the previous year. Depending on the forecast, the number of registered “plug-in” vehicles will already be between 70 and 90 percent in nine years.
This also means a need for action for the accommodation sector. Because in the future, guests will increasingly arrive with electric cars and demand suitable charging options. But implementing e-charging stations and new parking facilities in hotel operations is complex. There are a number of things to consider.
This Booster Talk provides information on the opportunities and technical possibilities of charging stations in hotel operations.
In the first part, expert Krispin Romang from the Swiss eMobility association will highlight current trends and various technical solutions. In his input presentation, he answers in particular the questions of Roberto Schmid, director at the Hotel International au Lac in Lugano. In the context of the current renovation, Mr. Schmid dealt with the implementation of e-charging stations and met some challenges.
In the second part, Paul Urchs, host at the Hotel Adula in Flims, gives practical tips for implementation in your business. He has only recently invested in the development of e-charging infrastructure and is up to date in his hotel.
Finally, Booster Talk participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, which will be answered either by the expert or by one of the hoteliers.
